Well well well I have not forgotten about you! Actually truth is I have really been focusing on my studies and everyday this week I have had intentions of updating you and writing a blog but I have been so busy! This week has been a crazy one and the next one is going to be as well. I guess it is a good thing that I spent my Spring Break mostly relaxing π
Lets see where did I leave off. I believe I was on Spring Break and it was almost the weekend, I had just reached over 500 views in just 2 months which is FANtastic, get it fan!? I am now almost to 600 and all I can say is thank you thank you thank you! It is so wonderful to have such great support and I actually really enjoy writing these blogs! Back to Spring Break though. The weekend before I went back to school I spent doing some sight seeing. Went to the Fashion Week with a couple girls here which was located near the Louvre. It was the first time I had seen the Louvre and let me just say oh em gee! That place is HUGE. It was a beautiful day and I actually caught a couple sunset pictures which made me think of Kansas, we have the best sunsets, sigh π
A picture of the Louvre, what I could get at least
I had a good time exploring but it was nice to get back to classes last week. My weeks mostly consist of class and studying, making dinner (yes I do that now) and rejuvenating as much as possible. I also started running a couple times a week, well what I call running haha I am by no means a good runner. Can you really ever be?? I must say it is not too fun but it does make me feel better! lol
This past weekend we made an ERASMUS day trip to Champagne!! Champagne is just a region so we visited a couple cities but mostly Reims, France. That was so much fun. It was wonderful to get out of Paris for a little bit and see some countryside. I never knew how much of a “country” girl I was until I started living in one of the most populated cities in the world. The day consisted of visiting a castle, a Basilica, Notre Dame and then a vineyard! I am going to let the pictures do the explaining…. π
Some of us, from all over the world!
A small little town in the country, beautiful
Notre Dame, it was HUGE and magnificent
If that gives any justice, HUGE
By far the biggest organ I think I will EVER see! Just for my mom π
Now onto the Mercier Champagne vineyard, AWESOME!
A little, little part of the vineyard. I mean LITTLE
Where the bottles go through the “turning” process which is known as riddling. This helps loosen sediment and draw toward the neck of the bottle. Wine class at WoodFire paid off π
Where some bottles are kept to age. Sorry it is blurry we were riding a train
and the tasting π santΓ© (cheers in French)
Ariana and I on the train in the caves
What a day! I cannot wait to visit Italy with my mom and some more vineyards, eeeeek!
This week was supposed to be one of my easier weeks, I only had 4 of my classes but it was quite busy! I have been working with the organization from one of my classes, Managing People. We made the company Twovox which is a company that is helping connect International students and with native language students all over the world to help in the exchange of language skills! Not only does this aid in meeting foreign students and people but it also can help if you want to learn another language. We are so excited about our organization and me being International in France this is definitely something even I would use, of course that is why I am so involved and passionate about it. Most of you have probably already seen all of my Facebook posts π We will be developing an application online as well as a website so I am ecstatic to be able to share with all of you soon. Until then please “like” us on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or even Twitter! If its any justification I am actually the Manager of the Public Relations department which handles all social media, communication and working with other departments as well as events. This has been a wonderful opportunity for me since my degree is in Management and it has helped me learn so much. I have met some great people, French and International in our group and I look forward to continuing on this adventure. More to come! Here are a couple pictures from our Breakfast event we held this morning.
Such a success, happy happy! We are doing big things here TWOVOX
Anywho, again I am sorry it has been 2 weeks since I have written. I look forward to doing some laundry, not really though, and getting some much needed sleep tonight before my big weekend! Amber will be here tomorrow and we are off to IRELAND for St. Patrick’s Day. I am so excited! There will most definitely be an update when I get back so stay tuned…
All my love
Kels
Thanks for sharing the pictures! I especially liked the organ
